We are located in Canon City, Colorado and have been providing quality tracking and trailing dog training services since 1997. Over the years our program has evolved to become one of the best in the country. We have developed, introduced and taught our training techniques to Law Enforcement K9 Officers and Search and Rescue K9 teams all across the country and overseas.

K9 Search and Rescue Association

The K-9 SEARCH & RESCUE ASSOCIATION (K-9 SRA) is a Swiss association with the aim to deploy in cases of missing persons. Furthermore the association’s purpose is to train and promote K-9 search teams in the area of trailing. To reach its objectives K-9 SRA works in close collaboration with Georgia K9 National Training Center, USA and Mantrailer Rhein-Ruhr, Germany. The certification of the K-9 teams follows the Tactical Tracker Teams K9 Corps (TTT K9) certification standards established by Jeff Schettler.

California Houndsman for Conservation

CHC was established in 1972 by Professor Sam Baker of Fresno, California. As founding President, Mr Baker passed over the recommended name of California Bear Hunters for the broader name of California Houndsmen for Conservation. This not only established a comprehensive community of interests, but set forth a worthy focus that CHC has steadfastly adhered to since its inception many years ago.

International Bloodhound Academy

Bloodhound International Academy (IBHA) was founded in January 2012 as the logical outcome of several years of efforts of enthusiasts who are trying to promote new methods of work tracker service dogs – mantrailing to rescue the system and how to work with the Police in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The founding members include both professional and volunteer canine experts from Slovakia, Czech Republic, USA and Germany, who share a common interest in another approach to business training trackers.

Columbia Search & Rescue Alliance is a volunteer collective within which skilled, committed search and rescue operatives unite for training, testing and field deployment, and through which Federal, State, County, and City emergency services agencies connect with the search and rescue resources they need when a member of the community is missing or lost.

Loving Hands Animal Clinic is proud to hold the highest accreditation offered by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA is a nonprofit international organization established in 1933. AAHA creates hospital standards and accredits veterinary hospitals. AAHA Hospital Members voluntarily have their facilities inspected to ensure that they continue to meet the association’s rigorous standards. The purpose of the American Animal Hospital Association is to enhance the abilities of veterinarians to provide quality medical care to companion animals, to successfully conduct their practices and maintain their facilities with high standards of excellence, and to meet the public’s needs as they relate to animals. Fewer than 18% of clinics in North America are AAHA approved.

Riverstone Animal Hospital

Riverstone Animal Hospital began as a vision of Drs. Greg and Simone Nutt while they were still students in veterinary school. At that time their family included three cats and two dogs. Their goal was to establish a veterinary hospital that not only provides the very best medical care for pets but also cares for and enriches the lives of the people who own them. With the emerging significance of the human-pet bond the doctors recognized their dual role as pet health care providers as well as source of support and education for pet owners. The doctors spent a combined 11 years listening to pet owners, pet care experts, and gathering experience at five different veterinary facilities, before starting their own practice.

Riverstone Animal Hospital opened its doors in July of 2002 with a small staff of only 5 people. We spent our first six years in a leased facility across Riverstone Plaza. From there we have grown to a team of over 17 pet care professionals, and this past August we were proud to move into our current freestanding facility. With twice the space and a significantly improved and expanded medical and boarding facility, our new home will allow us to care for you and your pets in a better way and offer additional diagnostic and educational services. Our vision, however, will remain unchanged: To provide a place where you and your pet are genuinely cared for and you are welcomed and supported as an active participant in your friend’s care.
