We recommend that you check references and insurance when you decide upon a police K9 trainer. A police dog is no trivial tool that anyone can work with. Ensure that your trainer has not only professionally worked the police dogs they claim to be able to train, have the credentials to back it up, and are fully licensed, bonded, and insured for this business. Georgia K9 will gladly provide references upon request.

We are set up to house law enforcement or SAR students at the facility. Our “board & train” programs include all of your training, lodging, breakfast and dinner.

Our 5-Day In Depth Training Programs in the K9 Arts of Canine Trailing, Tracking, Human Remains Detection, Narcotics Detection, and Explosives Detection:

Our 5-Day training seminars can be held at our facility just 45 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia, or a setting of your choosing. We require extensive open ground in rural and/ or urban environments depending upon the level of training conducted; basic, intermediate, or advanced. Day one is orientation and basic classroom presentations involving scent theory, collection, and preservation followed by K9 handling techniques. Days 2-3 are all hands-on fieldwork. Day 5 is reserved for K9 certification dependent upon student advancement.

Seminars at our Canton Facility are for 1-8 students and their K-9’s. The course includes all instruction carried out by two instructors and assisting staff members.

Off-site training with larger numbers of students can be provided for upon request. The fee schedule will vary with location, travel, student number, and other logistics. Please call us at your convenience to discuss Georgia K9’s TTT program coming to you!
